CAP 700/460 is a synthetic, compressor lubricant that forms a tacky, tenacious and tough oil film on both metal and ceramic surfaces. It is extremely shear stable, water resistant and impermeable to water vapor and hydrocarbon gases. CAP 700/460 minimizes wear in high pressure compressors and is commonly used in gas reinjection compressors.
