Coupling Grease
Coupling Grease is a lithium complex, high film strength grease engineered for lubricated shaft couplings where high speed and centrifugal force can drive oil separation, leakage and fling-off. It is formulated with high-viscosity synthetic base oils, tacky synthetic polymers, and our proprietary Synslide™ EP additive technology to maintain a tenacious lubricating film under heavy loads, resist wear, and help protect components at elevated operating temperatures.
Formulated specifically for gear, grid and other lubricated couplers, Coupling Grease flows readily to reach critical contact areas across a wide temperature range, then stays in place to help minimize leakage and fling-off from high load and sliding zones. Its high base-oil viscosity helps separate sliding components to reduce metal-to-metal contact, while added inhibitors help guard against rust and corrosion. Coupling Grease is compatible with ferrous alloys and yellow metals commonly used in gears, bearings and other rotating equipment components, including case-hardened gears that can be pitted by conventional sulfur-phosphorus EP oils. The result is extended coupling life and improved equipment reliability.
