Thermax™ 680 Grease
Thermax™ 680 Grease is a special purpose, ultra tough, aluminum complex extreme-pressure grease formulated with very high-viscosity synthetic base oils. It is designed for equipment requiring a grease with high base-oil viscosity to maintain film strength under low-speed, heavily loaded and shock-loaded conditions. Thermax 680 Grease is formulated with our proprietary Synslide™ noncorrosive EP additive technology, which increases film strength and load carrying capability under boundary lubrication conditions.
Thermax 680 Grease also provides good oxidation stability, excellent resistance to water wash-off and wash-out, and strong protection against rust and corrosion on ferrous alloys and yellow metals – helping extend equipment life and reduce total cost of ownership. It excels in bearings and sliding surfaces operating at low speeds, under heavy or shock loads, at elevated temperatures, or in wet environments.
Thermax 680 Grease is compatible with and noncorrosive to ferrous alloys and yellow metals commonly used in gears, bearings and other rotating equipment components, including case-hardened gears that can be pitted by conventional sulfur-phosphorus EP oils and greases. It is commonly used in steel mills, paper mills, marine environments, and other demanding operating conditions.
